Art Scene :: “Distilled Memoirs” by Aaron Westerberg

It was a treat to meet artist Aaron Westerberg at his solo exhibition, “Distilled Memoirs” gallery opening at the eclectic Noh/wave Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

Aaron Westerberg is a modern master at classical realism. His paintings are pure poetry, reflecting the works of American and European masters such as Edmund Tarbell, John Singer Sargent, Anders Zørn and others.

I’m pleased to share with you close-ups of my favorite works on display. I hope you enjoy them and will be inspired to visit the exhibit in person.

I get the idea that Los Angeles is a competitive hotbed of good art, such as is not seen in other cities. Mr. Westerberg is an example of that.

  2. Barry Wehrli

One could get that impression in a city like LA. These great artists come from all over, but thanks to Linda we always know what great art is nearby. Mr. Westerberg is no exception. I was half tempted to take on some debt for that woman looking down, lighting her cigarette,
